1.
SCOPE
1.1 Scope. This specification covers pressure tanks for air starting diesel engines and for air
#
compressor accumulator tanks on Naval ships.
1.2 Classification.
The tanks shall be of the following classes, as specified (see 6.1):
Class 1 - Suitable for working pressures over 400 pounds per square inch gage (p.s.i.g.).
Class 2 - Suitable for working pressures not exceeding 400 p.s.i.g.
