convey the lubricant from the drain to a container. Accessibility to the drain
plug, the filling means, and the lubricant-level checking device shall be obtained
without the removal or adjustment of accessories or parts.
3.10.5 Delivery lubrication service. When delivered, all components, except

c o m p o n e n t s and connections except as specified below, s h a l l b e p r o t e c t e d f r o m t h e
effects of moisture and fungus growth by an overall treatment with a varnish

salicylanilide (by weight) based on the nonvolatile content of the varnish.

3.12 Identication m a r k i n g . The compressor shall be identified in accordance
with MIL-STD-130. T h e marking shall be applied to the compressor on
identification plates conforming to MIL-P-514, type I, style 1, composition C, of
type I, grade A, class 1 material. Plates shall be attached by screws, bolts, or
rivets In a conspicuous, protected location.
